My husband was recently offered a new job in Vancouver, so after much thought and prayer, we decided to sell our house in Salem and start a new adventure in Washington! I’m looking forward to meeting many new clients in the Vancouver/Portland area!
Happy New Year!
Due to the busyness of life, I neglected to share a number of great sessions from last fall. In the next couple weeks, I will try to get more sessions on the blog and hopefully be much more prompt with all the upcoming sessions.
Jordan’s shoot was so fun. We shot at two different locations and she brought multiple outfits, including a very unique gown, quirky hat, and some fierce shoes. I loved her bubbly attitude and sense of style. It was hard to choose only a few favorites from her senior portrait session, but at long last, here they are.
Just a few favorites from Kris and Amber’s lovely outdoor wedding last Friday! More pictures will be coming in the next couple weeks.
As some of you may know, my husband and I have three indoor cats, Riley, Sidney, and Claire. We never planned on being the “cat people,” but it sort of happened and we enjoy our furry friends. Last month I heard about a fun photo contest by the Oregon Humane Society and I decided to enter since I have lots of cute cat pictures. (I mean, how could a photographer own three beautiful cats and not have lots pictures of them?! ;))
Last night Andrew and I attended the awards ceremony for the photo contest and were delighted to discover that our photos had won two out of ten categories! It was so fun to see our sweet kitties on the big overhead projectors and to have a few moments to tell the crowd about the photographs. Both Sidney and Claire will be featured in the Oregon Humane Society newsletter and website.
And without further ado, here are the winning photographs:
Best Cat Photo – “Sidney”
Funniest Pet Photo – “Claire”
Me on stage talking about the photographs with OHS PA Manager, David Lytle
For Iris’ senior portraits, she decided to go to the iris gardens. How fitting, right? It was a gorgeous morning and we had such a fun time exploring the gardens and getting lots of lovely pictures… Iris’ mom even joined in for a few shots!
One of the things I love most about Oregon is the flowers. They are overwhelming in both variety and abundance. One of my favorites is the Mock-orange, which I had never experienced before moving to Oregon, and now we have a huge Mock-orange shrub of our very own to enjoy each June!
Just had to share a favorite shot of Iris from her senior portrait session at the iris gardens! We had such a fun time.
We did two senior portrait sessions with Laurel, one for her formal dress and one for a more casual look, and she looked amazing at both! I just love her vivacious, natural curls!
Last fall, I had the privilege of photographing the wedding reception of our friends, Jonathan and Charlyn. And now I’m finally getting around to posting pictures from their day!
After eating a deliciously huge Easter lunch with our family, I did some quick just-for-fun sessions with my sister-in-law and her husband, and Andrew’s parents. There’s even a shot of Andrew and me. (Those are pretty rare since I’m usually behind the camera. :))
